Authority as Performative Cruelty
Power, in this sequence, operates not through competence or ethical grounding but through ritualized displays of dominance and containment. Christopher Neame exemplifies this theme, shifting from controlled ruthlessness to cold competence, using a containment device not for protection but to demonstrate lethal authority to silent subordinates.
