Object
Catacombs Petroleum Pool (Oil-Slick)
A shallow pool of viscous petroleum (appearing as a bubbling, green, slimy oil-slick layer) in the knee-deep, rat-infested water of the library catacombs. Indiana Jones discovers this petroleum and soaks cloth in it to fuel an improvised torch (crafted from a skeleton's bone), which cuts through the suffocating gloom. Kazim later ignites the slick, creating a wall of fire that triggers a rodent stampede, forcing Indy and Elsa to take cover under an overturned coffin for air. The petroleum serves as both a fuel source for illumination and a narrative catalyst for tension and revelation.
