Starfleet Monitor Stations are a distributed Starfleet sensor and communications network that scans assigned sectors, aggregates anomaly reports, and relays tactical intelligence to fleet units. In the current material they supply incoming messages reporting Klingon battlecruiser movements and spatial anomalies, serving as an early-warning information provider to the Enterprise and Starfleet command.
