Data's Main Bridge Console
A low-profile, angled control console mounted on the Enterprise-D's forward bridge arc: brushed composite housing, inset tactile panels, laminated display panes, thin status lamps and clustered touch-keys. Data's station bears extra diagnostic readouts and a small calibration module that mark it as his primary interface. During the dimensional ambush the console scorches and erupts—sparks, blown meters and smeared display glass—sending crew stumbling and leaving scorch marks and fractured indicator lamps where hands and tools once rested.

Purpose
Primary ship-control and systems-monitoring terminal used by an officer (Data) to access diagnostics, execute commands, and interface with the bridge's navigation, tactical, and engineering subsystems.
Significance
Becomes a focal casualty of the assault: the console's destruction injures Data, disables a command station, and concretely signals the bridge's sudden loss of control. Its damage escalates the crisis by removing a trusted interface and personalizing the attack through Data's direct vulnerability.
