Borg Regeneration Nexus
A sprawling neural nexus occupying the Borg ship's nursery: a lattice of pale organic tissue braided with blackened conduits and crystalline data nodes. Infant bodies sit half-formed in exoskeletal frames, their flesh fused to implants and fiber tendrils; steam and viscous regeneration fluids leak from maintenance ports while synchronized pulses of light and subsonic hums mark active data exchange. The chamber radiates cold, clinical menace; Riker steps back, Worf stands alert, and Data leans in to parse the nexus's diagnostic signatures as the structure itself continues repairing the vessel around them.

Purpose
To coordinate biological integration and regenerative repair—linking nascent Borg lifeforms and damaged ship systems into the collective by routing neural and maintenance protocols through a central control lattice.
Significance
Operates as the story's moral and tactical fulcrum: it reveals that the Borg reproduce by immediately assimilating biological life into AI, converts an investigative mission into an extraction crisis, and crystallizes the threat to individual autonomy and crew safety.
