A small child's bed pushed into the dim corner of Sarjenka’s room on Drema Four: low wooden frame, thin mattress swaddled in simple woven sheets and a faded blanket. The bedding creases where a sleeping body settles; Data lifts the covers with delicate, mechanical tenderness and tucks the child in, smoothing edges and placing a cool, singing stone into her palm. The bed reads as intimate and domestic—compact, well-worn, quietly cared-for—and absorbs the last human contact left behind when Data dematerializes.
