Frosted Glass Crypt Lid (forced open; wiped viewing aperture)

A thick, curved human-sized glass cover set into a metal rim and rimed with hoarfrost and beaded condensation. The lid shows signs of violent prying (fine radial scratches and a jagged gap on one edge) and also bears a deliberate, palm-sized wiped aperture in the frost — a cleared patch whose smudge patterns indicate a human wipe that permits visual inspection into the crypt. Through that aperture Worf and the crew observe a perfectly preserved, unconscious woman, turning a routine inventory into an urgent rescue and forensic inquiry.

Purpose

Provides a temporary visual access point through the frost-sealed glass of a crypt so investigators can inspect the occupant without opening the chamber.

Significance

Functions as immediate forensic evidence of deliberate tampering: its broken seal and wiped frost reframe the site from passive decay to criminal interference, indicate an occupant was removed prior to the team's arrival, and propel the plot into rescue, medical triage, and investigation.
