Borg Stasis Slots (Shipboard Stasis Compartments)
Rows of recessed metal alcoves run along the interior hull, each slot sized to cradle a humanoid form and ringed with braided conduits, armrest interfaces and small glowing status nodes. Two compartments sit side-by-side in each bay; padded armrests bear inset tactile ports and bio-electric clamps that lock limbs to the ship. The surfaces glint with oxidized alloy and oozing resin sealant; a faint hum and the hiss of coolant underscore the living, mechanical stillness as embedded drones sleep and, on inspection, briefly withdraw to act before returning.

Purpose
To suspend Borg individuals in stasis while physically and neurally linking them to the ship’s systems via armrest interfaces; to provide hubs where drones receive commands, access ship controls, and detach for autonomous deployment.
Significance
Serves as the decisive physical clue to the Borg collective architecture: the compartments convert the derelict from inert wreckage into a living network. A drone detaching from a slot and operating a control panel converts theoretical threat into immediate, inscrutable danger and raises extraction stakes for the away team.
