Unidentified Defender

A nameless member of the colony's armed militia, positioned shoulder-to-shoulder with three comrades to defend the aqueduct and plant. He receives a phaser stun from Data and collapses, later leaving a rifle that Data retrieves—an anonymous casualty whose brief incapacitation functions narratively as a demonstration of nonlethal neutralization and the immediacy of Data's escalation. The defender represents the human cost of a coercive encounter and anchors the moral and tactical consequences of Data's decisive intervention.
