Several large fuel tank trucks park near the runway at the Tanis digs airstrip, their tanks loaded with aviation gasoline to refuel the Nazi Flying Wing. Gobler directs mechanics to gas the plane urgently. One truck takes a direct hit from the taxiing Flying Wing, rupturing its tank and spilling rivers of fuel across the pavement. The slick gasoline pools ignite potential amid the brawl as Indy dodges mechanics, races through the flood to reach the trapped Marion, and battles amid roaring propellers.
