Scottish Highland Clans

Scottish Highland clans rallied as warriors loyal to Bonnie Prince Charles Edward during the 1746 Jacobite Rising. They fought fiercely at Culloden Moor but fell to the superior firepower and discipline of English redcoats and German mercenary forces. This defeat shattered clan military power and invited brutal reprisals across the Highlands, ending organized resistance to Hanoverian rule.
