Traken Grove Moss

A patch of emerald-green moss clings to the damp stone at the base of Melkur’s statue in the sacred Grove. The moss isn’t merely decorative—its color is unusually vivid, almost unnaturally so, contrasting with the weathered marble and the muted tones of the surrounding undergrowth. As Kassia approaches, she kneels, brushing her fingers against it before shuddering and submitting to Melkur’s silent command. The dampness of the moss hints at the Grove’s untended state, all but abandoned to the creeping corruption.
