Carnivorous Clam Trap Rock Fragment

A jagged slab of cave limestone, torn from the cave’s ceiling by the Doctor’s hasty grab. Its chalky grey surface shows fresh fracture lines where it snapped, the broken edges whiter than the weathered rockface. Roughly chair-sized, it was never meant to serve as a tool, and its weight and awkward shape make it marginally useful at best. The Doctor swings it twice—once to pry the clam’s hinge, once to shatter its grip—before tossing it aside as both rock and stalactite fail against the clam’s crushing strength.

Purpose

Improvised pry bar and blunt instrument to force open the carnivorous clam’s shell and free Harry’s leg

Significance

Symbol of desperate ingenuity under Skaro’s deadly experiments; the only available leverage in a life-or-death extraction that momentarily saves Harry but underscores the Thals’ vulnerability to Davros-era hazards
