Doctor's human allies

The unnamed human presence in the Doctor’s orbit glimpses only the edges of his operations—a fleeting impression of allegiance without direct participation. This cohort remains absent during the Daleks’ arrival, their role reduced to the passive witness rather than the actor, their cooperation implied by proximity rather than action. Their presence is defined not by what they do, but by what they refrain from doing in the Doctor’s turbulent company.
